Description | The project entails the construction of a 46.73 KM elevated expressway in Dhaka, Bangladesh. SPV is First Dhaka Elevated Expressway Company, Ltd., a JV between the sponsors Italian-Thai Development Public Company (51%), China Shandong International Economic & Technical Co-operation Group (35%), and Sinohydro Corporation (14%). The total investment stands at $1240 million, of which China EXIM financed the project with a loan of $461 million while ICBC provided another $400 million, and $334 million comes as viability gap funding by the Government of Bangladesh. The JV will build-operate-transfer the project for a period of 25 years.
