This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Completion Certificate/COD and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The Dhansiri Irrigation Project was initiated in the year 1975 to supply irrigation water to the farmers living in the Udalguri district, with an aim to uplift the economy of the local tribal people by increasing the agricultural output.A 160.00 m long Barrage was constructed at the confluence point of river Jumpani from Bhutan and Bhairabi from Arunachal Pradesh at Bhairabkunda ,the tri-junction of Assam.:Dhansiri Irrigation Project during AIBP & NABARD LTIF 62230 Ha Irrigation Potential is created .The project before taken up in AIBP 15000 Ha area had created .Till Now 36272 Ha Irrigation potential is utilised. |
