Information Western Coalfields Limited [WCL] has come up with DHUPTALA OC [SASTI UG TO OC ] with a ticket size of 711.01 INR Crores. This project in Coal sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project Dhuptala OC is a brown field project approved in 379th CIL Board meeting on 12.02.2019 for capital investment of Rs. 711.009 Cr with capacity of 2.50 MTPA on Cost plus basis with prospective consumer NTPC, MPPGCL, MAHAGENCO at a price to yield 12percentage IRR at 85percentage capacity utilisation. Accordingly, coal supply agreements with identified consumers for supply of coal on cost plus basis were executed as follows. M/s NTPC for quantity of 0.4371 MTY on 4.03.2020. M/s MAHAGENCO for a quantity of 0.68 MTY on 29.12.2020 and M/s MPPGCL for a quantity of 1.043 MTY on 8.10.2021. As such there is delay in cost plus agreement, actual start of Mining activity and CAPEX is from the date of cost plus agreement i.e 8.10.2021.
