Description
Description | The Diamanti Bridge is a modular, low-carbon concrete bridge prototype built using robotic 3D printing technology. It consists of nine interlocking modules that can be assembled without permanent bonding, allowing for disassembly, transport, and reuse. The bridge features a funicular geometry for structural efficiency and uses a special low-carbon concrete mix enhanced with diatomaceous earth to increase CO₂ absorption. A 2.5-meter prototype was exhibited in Venice, and a 9-meter full-scale version has been tested, with plans for installation in Paris. |
