Description
Description | The Diamanti bridge is a modular 3D printed concrete bridge formed from nine prefabricated concrete segments. Each segment is produced with a two-component cementitious mix and printed using a robotic arm. The segments feature hollow sections and patterned surfaces to maintain structural integrity while lowering embodied carbon. The bridge uses a post-tensioned system with ungrouted steel cables, making it fully demountable and recyclable. Two versions have been constructed: a 2.5 m prototype displayed in Venice and a 10 m version tested in France. |
