Information NHPC has come up with Dibang Multipurpose Project with a ticket size of 31876.39 INR Crores. This project in Energy Generation [Renewable] sub-sector involves The current status of the project is - and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project 2880 MW, Dibang Project is a multipurpose project with Flood Moderation as key objective. The project is located in Lower Dibang Dist. of Arunachal Pradesh. The nearest railhead & airport is Tinsukia / Dibrugarh and Dibrugarh respectively. The project envisages construction of following main components: 278 m high and 798 m long Concrete Gravity dam nos. Head Race Tunnels of 300m to 600m length Underground Power House housing 12 units of 240 MW each The Project is designed to generate 11223 Mus per annum. Project is scheduled to be completed in 108 months from the date of sanction by the Govt. of India.
