Description
Description | DigiCo, backed by David Di Pilla and HMC Capital, proposed a 49.5 megawatt data centre development in Monterey Park, near downtown Los Angeles. The project faced strong community opposition due to concerns about environmental impact, noise, pollution, and increased power prices. After protests and a moratorium on data centre development, DigiCo voluntarily withdrew from the project, which is now effectively cancelled. The opposition has led to a potential total ban on future data centres in Monterey Park. |
