Description

Description

"The DIGILOG project (""Digital and Intelligent Urban Logistics for Sustainable Cities"") is a three-year ERASMUS+ Jean Monnet Module that explores the transformative potential of Industry 4.0 technologies (Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Blockchain) in urban logistics and last-mile distribution. Designed by the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA), this 240-hour curriculum consists of three sequential submodules: AI-Driven Urban Logistics (predictive analytics, route optimization) IoT for Smart Logistics (real-time tracking, environmental monitoring) Blockchain in Last-Mile Distribution (secure data management, smart contracts) Targeting students, professionals, and policymakers, DIGILOG combines technical training with EU policy analysis, addressing priorities from the Digital Europe Programme and European Green Deal. The program employs innovative pedagogical methods including case study analysis, hands-on Python/Arduino workshops, and capstone projects, complemented by annual Round Table discussions broadcast as webinars. Key impacts include: Enhanced digital literacy for 100+ participants 7 ECTS credits per submodule through blended learning (72 teaching hours + 15 project hours) Alignment with EU4Digital Initiative targets for workforce upskilling Creation of reusable educational materials and policy briefs for EU stakeholders The project strengthens AUA's curriculum while fostering cross-sector collaboration through partnerships with Horizon Europe initiatives like GREEN-LOG. Delivered freely online, it prioritizes accessibility for Erasmus students and professionals, with plans to integrate content into postgraduate programs and develop commercial training toolkits post-funding. DIGILOG aims to position the EU as a global leader in sustainable urban logistics innovation through its unique integration of technical proficiency and policy awareness"
