The overall objective of this project ‘Digital Capacity Management – Implementation 25-29 [DCM IMP 25_29]’ (mixed - study and works) is to continue the Europe-wide implementation of the programme ‘TTR for a Smart Capacity Management’ which was launched as a project in 2014 with the overall aim to increase cross border rail attractiveness and efficiency by removing interoperability barriers, so that rail can increase its competitiveness and market share on the European transport market. With this project the sector is preparing the implementation of the future regulation “on the use of railway infrastructure capacity in the single European railway area” including the digital European systems required from the Network Coordinator. It will do so by: » Adjusting IM legacy systems to allow cross-border data exchange, to facilitate integrated infrastructure capacity and traffic management digitalisation. » Supporting rail stakeholders in developing common Telematics Reference Files, merging the existing TAF and TAP Reference File sets to be used in the telematics framework and by other registers managed by the ERA or the rail sector. » Supporting Infrastructure Managers (IMs) and Railway Undertakings (RUs) in implementing and ensuring the compliance of the rail system and its sub-systems with the TAP/TAF TSI and TSI OPE. » Supporting IMs in aspects regarding Traffic Management and Train Performance Management in line with the Draft Regulation proposal on the on the use of railway infrastructure capacity in the single European railway area. » Building up the digital European central systems based on the future capacity regulation (Article 62)
