Digital Consent Management Pilot Project

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, in collaboration with the Reserve Bank of India, has launched a pilot project for digital consent management. This initiative operates within a regulatory sandbox to validate the operational, technical, and regulatory aspects of consent registration. The project involves select banks and aims to help businesses seek digital consent from consumers before sending commercial calls and messages, laying the foundation for sector-wise implementation of a digital consent ecosystem.
