Digital Copies of Italian Masterpieces Project

under implementation

Italian cultural officials, through the nonprofit Save the Artistic Heritage and its technical partner Cinello, are offering limited edition, certified digital copies of Italian masterpieces. These digital artworks are sized and framed to match the museum experience and are sold to help museums raise money. Participating museums receive 50% of the profits from sales, which range from 30,000 to 300,000 euros. The project aims to provide new income streams for cash-strapped museums and plans to expand to the United States.
