Description
Description | Digital Courts is an innovative project designed to revolutionize basketball coaching and athlete development employing cutting-edge digital solutions. Addressing persistent disparities in coaching quality and sports participation, especially in rural and under-resourced regions, the project aims to democratize access to modern training methodologies and technologies. The project will develop three key outputs: (1) a Digital Competence Framework (aligned with DigComp 2.2) and e-curriculum for coaches, (2) an AI-powered injury prevention tool for athletes, providing personalized assistance to sport health management (3) a digital coaching and scouting platform, connecting coaches with young talent, particularly in rural areas. Digital Courts seeks to transform the basketball ecosystem, by upskilling coaching staff and facilitating athlete engagement, development and talent identification- removing financial and geographical limitations, while creating a transferable model for digital innovation in sports education. Leveraging a multidisciplinary consortium of 6 partners: 3 national basketball federations, 1 higher education institution, 1 technology provider, and 1 inclusive sports organization from 4 Programme countries (Greece, Romania, Cyprus, Bulgaria), the project addresses key EU priorities in digital transformation and social inclusion in sports, with the potential for broader application across different disciplines. |
