Digital Euro ATM and Payments Integration

under construction

The European Central Bank (ECB) is advancing the digital euro project by focusing on ATM and payment terminal integration and certification. The project aims to ensure the digital euro works seamlessly with existing payment hardware such as ATMs and point-of-sale terminals, enabling withdrawals, top-ups, and offline payments. It also includes establishing testing and approval standards for systems within the digital euro ecosystem to ensure interoperability, security, and consistency across the euro area.
