The proposed Project will implement the Global Program on Accelerating Digitalization in Nepal.Component 1: Improving and securing data hosting : This component focuses on improving data hosting and enhancing cybersecurity readiness and response. It includes:Subcomponent 1.1: Improving data hosting, which involves upgrading existing government data centers, activating new data centers, transitioning to the government cloud, and developing policies for outsourcing of longer-term data hosting and cloud services.Subcomponent 1.2: Enhancing cybersecurity readiness, which includes improving the technical and operational readiness of the National Cybersecurity Center (NCSC) and enhancing the cybersecurity of current and future government data centers.Component 2: Improving Services: This component aims to improve digital services and enhance access to them. It includes:Subcomponent 2.1: Building core digital government systems: Updating government-to-government (G2G) services and promoting integration of government services.Subcomponent 2.2: Enhancing access to services: Upgrading online and mobile portals, assessing and defining approaches and programs to increasing availability of, access to, and use of digital government services.Component 3: Project Implementation Support: This component is dedicated to project implementation, including strengthening fiduciary, environmental, and social functions, ensuring robust monitoring and evaluation processes, and fostering coordination between key government bodies.
