Description | Digital Realty proposed a $500 million data center project in Adair Park, Atlanta, near the West End MARTA station and Beltline. The project involves developing a polluted and vacant film production park into a 282,000-square-foot data exchange facility with 30 megawatts electrical capacity and about 35,000 square feet of retail space. The site is at 713 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd., a former printing press building. The project requires brownfield remediation estimated at $20 million. The city of Atlanta has banned data centers near transit and the Beltline, but this project is seeking an exemption. The Neighborhood Planning Unit V voted 105-87 against recommending the city council to allow the project. The final decision will be made by the city zoning review board in May and the City Council in June 2026. |
