Description
Description | We aim to prepare and deliver a comprehensive master on Digital Twins for Complex Infrastructures and Urban ecosystems targeting civil engineers who work in strategic areas such as transport, cities, energy, water and environment. The master will be 60 ECTS, 1 year, blended, international, executive and professional. It will train in the most relevant digital skills that are needed in digital twins for infrastructures (IoT, AI, data analytics, etc.) and in their use for the digitalization of current and future infrastructures. Innovative teaching methodologies will cohabite with practical teamworking and students will be able to pursue itineraries according their own interests. A second objective is to establish a Center of Excellence, CoE, around digital twins for complex infrastructures and urban ecosystems that aspires to be worldwide recognized. This CoE will provide leadership and will contribute to the definition and standardization of the concept. This global mission is supported by four pillars: 1) training and education (extending the master program towards a complete long-learning portfolio linked to the European approach for micro-credentials) 2) technology watching, research and technology transfer, 3) connections between academia, industry and society, and 4) technical maturation, entrepreneurship, and identification of business models. The master program and the CoE are built on the strengths of a rich and diverse consortium, which gathers 4 highly reputed HEIs from 4 countries (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid - Spain, École des Ponts ParisTech – France, Budapest University of Technology and Economics – Hungary and Istanbul Technical University - Turkey), a center of research (the National Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence at National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest – Romania ), a non-profit foundation (Fundación Agustín de Betancourt), and 4 specialized SMEs (Nommon, Altametris, Tyris AI and MainRail). All the members of EELISA European University educating in civil engineering are involved |
