The overall objective of the project (both Modules) is to is to satisfy needs expressed by Commission and to provide monitoring indicators defined in Digital Decade Policy Programme by all countries included in the European Statistical System. The digitalization goals are set for the for pillars of the Programme: ` • Skills • Digital transformation of enterprises • A secure and sustainable digital infrastructure • Digitization of public service The surveys on ICT Usage in enterprises and households are main data sources for five of the key performance indicators (KPIs) of this Programme Artificial Intelligence, cloud computing, big data (data analytics), the digital intensity index (DII) - a composite indicator reflecting the digital transformation of business, and the digital skills indicator (DSI) - a composite indicator measuring the digital skills of citizens based on the Digital Competence Framework (DigComp 2.0). The short-term effect of the project (both modules) will be to measure the current level of digitization of European economies and societies. In the long-term perspective, having indicators from several years, it will be possible to create analyses applying long time series or analyses with large time retrospection. The target groups are primarily the research community and policy makers. The latter will use indicators relevant for Digital Decade Policy Programme to monitor national and EU-level trajectories. Additional microdata linking will allow to analyse impact of ICT usage on productivity of enterprises.
