Description
Description | The DISCERN-DSS project's aims to improve digital health uptake in Indonesia and the wider Asian region by empowering Indonesian Health Higher education on digital soft skills training through co-creative practices and Digital Scenario Based Learning (D-SBL). D-SBL uses interactive digital scenarios, in the form of virtual patients, or other serious games, to support active problem-based learning strategies. The project addresses the digital transformation regional priority in the Asian region by transferring digital soft skills capacities through digitalization of problem-based teaching in Indonesian universities (PCUs). The project will modernize digital health curricula of PCUs through relevant digital soft skills (SO1), upskill medical educators, technologists, and content experts on co-creative educational resource creation and D-SBL teaching practices (SO2), update existing digital health teaching by integrating VP resources in existing or new curriculum modules on soft digital skills (SO3). It will modernize PCUs administrative infrastructure with roles and offices that monitor and update university digital soft skills training capacities (SO4) and widen cooperation through a national coordinating body (SO5). The project will target medical teachers, technologists, and learners. It will implement 2 international and 6 local train the trainers D-SBL workshops, co-creatively develop 15 D-SBL VPs in the equivalent of 2 modules (telemedicine & digital medicine) that will be used to educate more than 350 learners on digital soft skills. The project will create 3 Active Digital Literacy offices/roles, 1 per partner country university, supporting digital soft skills education and establish the National Excellent Hub for Transformative Digital Soft Skills. A set of localized recommendations for D-SBL teaching of digital soft skills will bring together HEIs, businesses and healthcare institutions cooperating and aligned with international and EU initiatives. |
