The digital transformation is structurally changing the entrepreneurship and the nature of work. There are concerns that these changes may affect employment conditions, levels and income distribution. Alongside investment in technology, there is a need of investment in human skills and knowledge, to be ready for the future. The need for new multidisciplinary digital skills is exploding. There is a specific need to improve the understanding of skills requirements for new technologies, promote development of digital skills and stimulate partnerships for skills within the framework of the New Skills Agenda for Europe. According to “Socio-economic Assessment of the Danube Region: State of the Region, Challenges and Strategy Development” /Nov.2015/ the supply and demand in educational system in the Danube region are not coordinated. This slows down entrepreneurship in the Danube Region (DR). WE.DIGITAL comes as a response to improve the entrepreneurship education in order to enhance the competitiveness of women entrepreneurship through further development of the lifelong entrepreneurial learning system based on identified set of strategic goals in line with Human Capital Dimension of the SBA for Europe. It will be focused on preparation of a complex strategic project contributing to PA 8 of EUSDR in relation with development of transnational innovative learning measures and tools to support acquiring of digital knowledge and skills of women entrepreneurs (WE). The main project activities will be focused on innovative and practical solutions for strengthening female entrepreneurial skills in the digital age through increasing digital knowledge, networking, exchange of experience between business and academia, mentoring, organization of tailored events and setting of innovative tools for fostering women’s entrepreneurial skills.
