Digitization, digital education and migration processes: the EU experience for Ukraine

The project is interdisciplinary and aims at disseminating EU strategies and policies on society’s digitalization, overcoming migration challenges from the perspective of national security, promoting European practices and experience of digital education and digital transformations in business, industry, public services, education, etc. at the national, European and global levels through teaching and discussions. The project’s relevance is reinforced by the process of Ukraine's integration into the EU, which requires the formation of knowledge about European policies, strategies, guidelines and values in society and the use of EU best practices to restore Ukraine's post-war economy. The project is based on the principles of openness, accessibility, and inclusion. The project’s overall goal is to raise awareness of the Ukrainian and European community about Europe’s strategies and policies on society digitalization, migration and digital education to promote the best EU practices and change strategies in Ukraine and other countries. It also aims to deepen cooperation between Ukraine and the EU in these areas, and to promote a new European approach to learning, teaching and research through digital education. Main activities: developing and teaching courses; research, hackathons, roundtables, conferences with the participation of representatives of education, business, public sector, policymakers, the public, and the media; online courses with open access; Digital Ecosystem of Knowledge (DEK) in ANU virtual library to store, distribute and share educational materials and research findings with partners and all interested parties. Expected results: a new elective course for students of ANU and partner universities; articles in professional and international publications; a monograph; DEK, hackathon and roundtable proceedings, videos, increased awareness of EU strategies and policies.
