Information Northeast Frontier Railway [NFR] - II has come up with Dimapur [Dhansiri]-Sukhobi Kohima [Zubza] NL [82.5 Km] with a ticket size of 6663.2 INR Crores. This project in Railway Track sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project DHANSIRI SUKHOBI ZUBZA NEW LINE PROJECT - 82.5 KM Brief- The hilly State of Nagaland is one of the youngest states in Indian Union, situated in the Northeastern region of India. The area has limited accessibility and the only rail head available is at Dimapur, which is the only station in Nagaland. The main objective of this project is to provide BG rail connectivity from Dimapur/Dhansiri to Zubza [Kohima], the State Capital of Nagaland. The project was sanctioned in the year 2006 at the cost of Rs. 850 cr. and the present estimated cost is Rs. 6663.20 cr. It will have 24 major bridges, 156 minor bridges, 21 number of tunnels [total length-30910 metres], 8 station building, 6 ROB, 30 RUB/LHS etc. It is being implemented in the three phases. Phase I from Dhansiri to Sukhovi [0 to 16 km], Phase II from Sukhovi to Pherima [16 to 44.5 km] and Phase III from Pherima to Zubza [44.5 to 82.50 km]. Commissioned- 16.5 Km [Dhansiri - Shokhuvi]
