Description | In June 2006, a local private company, Weixing Group was granted a 50 year agreement to construct and operate the Luoma Hydro Power Plant in Weixi Lisu Minoriy Autonomative County, Yunnan Province. The project was procured through direct negotiation. The total capacity of the project is 60MW and Weixing Group has a 70% stake of the project with the remaining share owned by individuals. The total investment was RMB 241.8897 million (US$ 30.35 million). A subsidiary company, Yunnan Jianghai Investment Co., Ltd., was established to operate the facility. According to http://www.mjgcj.com/web/doc/show_doc.asp?wid=1620&id=2340 (June 2009), the project is progressing well. However, financial closing date is unknown. |
