Description | The BLUEWALKS project is part of the 2017-2018 initiative of the Eurometropolis Lille-Kortrijk-Tournai (ELKT), one of whose missions is to exploit and coordinate the Blue Park of the Eurometropolitan territory. With more than 5,000 km of waterways, this park is both a physical reality and a dream, as it is little known and little used by the 2.1 million inhabitants of the Eurometropolis. To make it front of mind and encourage inhabitants to embrace the site, the project aims to attract all inhabitants to discover this Blue Park, in particular via a programme of guided walks by bicycle, on foot or by boat in the Eurometropolis’ Blue Park. The aim is to help the inhabitants discover the territory and cross the border through water and nature. Several walks will be proposed to discover routes along the water and on the water and to bring the Blue Park of the Eurometropolis to life. |
