Description
Description | "We will use operational support to advance three main objectives: 1) Connect our network of 700 youth debate clubs to the EU Youth Dialogue increasing their capacity as participation hubs at local, national, and international levels. Clubs will host structured discussions aligned with EUYD topics, participating in information gathering, consultations, and policy proposals throughout all phases of the Dialogue. Debate-based youth participation will link young people with EU institutions and increase access to EU processes. 2) Support creation of dialogue spaces and deliberative methods to strengthen media, reading, data, and STEM literacies and critical thinking skills. We will build capacity to perform periodic assessment for data-driven debate methodology and activity updates and debate education white papers, whcih will help improve youth learning outcomes and guide strategic planning and policy input. 3) Improve accessibility of youth debate clubs for underserved and under-included youth as inclusive and safe gathering spaces. We will build capacity to establish new clubs in underserved regions through incubator programs with camps, mentorship, and institutional support. Inclusion across the network as a whole will be supported through monitoring, regular training, virtual guidance, and coordination meetings. In total, we will work with 10,000 youth weekly and reach over 1,000,000 youth online throughout the grant. This will expand our ability to support the EU Youth Strategy increasing access to civic participation, and strengthening youth engagement in democratic processes, while also ensuring they have better access to reliable information. We contribute to Youth Goals #1 (Connecting EU with Youth), #4 (Information and Constructive Dialogue), and #9 (Space and Participation for All), but also to Youth Goals #3 (Inclusive societies) and #11 (Youth organisations and European programmes) ensuring regular, inclusive, and meaningful youth participation." |
