Description | To prevent Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), there is a lack of uniformity in the way frontline professionals assess and manage risk. There is no common and validated European concerted action mechanism for risk management in situation of Intimate Partner Violence. The objective of the project is to develop (first in BE and FR) a concerted action mechanism for risk management an evaluation tool for no specialized frontline professionals: doctors, hospital services, social welfare services, youth welfare, child protection, etc. The aim is to have a tool (a list of relevant questions + a user's manual) to rationally assess the risk to the victim. Work -Literature review of existing knowledge (EU and Canada) -Expert interviews to analyze the needs and expectations of no specialized frontline professionals for risk assessment -Development with a multi-institutional working group of an evaluation grid and its reference frame of use -Development of a training kit for the use of the assessment tool including a MOOC and face-to-face sessions -Training and testing of the tool in several pilot sites (emergency services, youth welfare, social services, child protection) -Evaluation of the tool and the training kit, corrective actions -Dissemination of results including to other Member States (FR and EN) At the end of the project frontline professionals will have a common and validated assessment tool for IPV risk assessment -frontline professionals directly involved in the project: 50 (development and testing), -frontline professionals reached by the dissemination of project results in France and Belgium: 2x1000 -Deliverables: 1 note on the existing tools,10 itvs of the experts,6 meetings of the multi-institutional working group,1 model of stakeholder consultation process,1 evaluation grid and its mode of use,1 report of the pilot sites (min.5),1 training kit including a MOOC,6 advocacy meetings,1 dissemination plan,1 website,1 tool transposition package,1 evaluation report |
