Description
Description | Stadtkino Filmverleih is an Austrian film distribution company focussing on high quality European art house and independent film. Stadtkino plans to reinvest the grant generated in phase 1 in the promotion of up to ten eligible European Films in Austria. Activities include the investment in the acquisition of distribution rights and the promotion, marketing and advertising for theatrical and online releases of films. Stadtkino strives to tailor the release strategy to the intricacies of the individual European non-national film. Typical measures to ensure a film reaches a wide as possible audience are public relations work using press agents; social media campaign; campaign using traditional media such as newspapers, posters and radio spots. Depending on the different angles a film provides and the availability of crew/cast, special screenings featuring a Q&A or a panel discussion are being organized. Stadtkino releases approximately 15 films per year in Austria in a release window that can last from 4 to 12 weeks. Releases typically reach an audience between 5.000 and 30.000. European non-national films will be acquired mostly through markets or in the context of film festivals such as Berlinale, Cannes and Venice. |
