Description

Description

The Program will finance provision and expansion of primary health care services including antenatal care, immunizations, nutrition, prevention of vertical transmission of HIV, malaria, tuberculosis, and family planning at district level and community level. It is expected that utilization of these services by the most vulnerable populations will improve. It will also invest in capacity building of district health services to better plan, manage and deliver quality services in their geographical areas. The program will support reforms in budget planning and execution in the context of fiscal decentralization that the country is slowly introducing. In addition, the program will invest in health centers with internment and selected district hospitals to reinforce the referral system in underserved areas.
