Description | A diverging diamond interchange is planned at Indiana 2 and Larrison Boulevard near the GM/Samsung SDI EV battery plant site and Amazon Web Services near New Carlisle. The project aims to accommodate heavier traffic expected near the battery plant, data center campus, and potential residential development. Construction is scheduled to kick off in March 2026 with actual construction starting in July 2026 and expected completion in 2027. The project requires acquisition of 17 properties, with 6 still to be acquired. The county has a $12 million funding obligation, with an overall $19 million commitment, including $7 million from Amazon. The total project cost could approach $45 to $50 million. |
