Description | Diversity and Inclusion in Vocational Education and Training (DIVET)’ brings together five public, private and academic partners from Germany and the Netherlands with expertise in diversity, anti-discrimination and empowerment knowledge transfer, inclusive workplaces and academic research - set within a deep understanding of the European context. DIVET’s objectives closely align with CERV 2022 EQUALS second priority to promote diversity management and inclusion in the workplace: * Selected public agencies and private sector small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have improved understanding of knowledge and skills needed to increase diversity and gender equality in VET. * Multi-dimensional diversity in two SME apprenticeship programs is strengthened. * Links between the academic community focusing on integration at work and selected public agencies and SMEs are strengthened. *SME signatories of the EU Diversity Charter become its advocates among peer SMEs. Best practices for diversity management and inclusion in VET are being promoted and expertise is being exchanged on a national and transnational level. Deliverables: Research report and gender analysis of the benefits, challenges, coping strategies and intersectionality faced by migrants in VET. Diversity Audit of two SMEs to develop and implement diversity strategies for an inclusive work environment. 42 SME staff and VET instructors trained in anti-discrimination and anti-bias awareness. 32 apprentices trained in empowerment. 21 SME staff and instructors and 11 apprentices engage in a joint dialogue to address discrimination. Two SMEs become signatories of the Diversity Charter. Diversity and Inclusion in VET Handbook for SMEs with practical guidelines, recommendations and e-learning modules to promote diverse and inclusive workplaces. Two national and one transnational conference to discuss learning and road maps to scale nationally, and to adapt to other European contexts. |
