Description

Description

"Workplaces are spaces where discrimination, which can be detected in the rest of the society, is concentrated. The social enterprise sector, while working daily to reduce these inequalities, fails to implement non-discrimination actions in the daily management of its enterprises. Acting on social enterprise managers is a way to make these enterprises more inclusive. UNIPSO, BRUSSEO and UDES, as federations representing social enterprise employers, are launching the ""Diversity Now!"" project, which is part of priority 1 ""Promoting diversity management"" in order to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace in the social enterprise sector at Belgian, French and European level. The project proposes three levels of action. A first level of analysis of good practices in how the European legislation is applied in terms of diversity, with the production of a user manual to implement a charter in the enterprise. A second level provides for setting up a training module for social enterprise managers to enable them to develop into ""diversity & inclusion managers"". A third level provides for the creation of a network bringing together diversity managers, representative federations and actors already working against discrimination in the workplace (public authorities, equality and anti-discrimination bodies, etc.). The whole project will help implement inclusive management in social enterprises on a sustainable basis. The expected impact is the systematic consideration of diversity issues (compliance with legal frameworks, implementation of good practices, inclusive management, etc.) in the management of social enterprises. The creation of the network and the provision of the training program and deliverables will ensure the sustainability of the project results. "
