Djibouti - Institutional Capacity Building Support Project (ICBSP)

This intervention concerns the Institutional Capacity Building Support Project (PARCI). It aims to support the Government's efforts to improve the capacity of Djibouti's State bodies in economic and financial governance, and more specifically in planning and monitoring-evaluation through the introduction of an integrated system for steering the economy. PARCI was conceived in a context of fragility characterised by weak institutional capacities and a socio-economic environment marked by the end of implementation of the national development strategy, the INDS, and shortcomings in the management of public finances. The project has three components: (i) support for improving public finance management; (ii) support for the monitoring and evaluation system of the National Initiative for Social Development (INDS); and (iii) project management.
