Description	Dubai Port Authority, part of DP World, was awarded the contract to expand, rehabilitate, and operate the Djibouti Port in Jun. 2000. DPA intents to increase the port's handling capacity from 125,000 to 300,000 TEUs with an investment program of US$ 50 million. The port has 15 berths and facilities to handle container traffic, general cargo, ro-ro, dry bulk and tankers. In 2013, China Merchants Holdings International announced it had agreed to acquire a 23.5% stake in the Port of Djibouti. Port the Djibouti SA (PDSA) owned the multi-purpose container terminal at the Port of Djibouti. (It also owned 66.66% of the Doraleh Container Terminal, project #4226). The legal entity, Port Autonome International de Djibouti (PAID) was to be transformed from a public entity into a private company, and renamed as PDSA.
