Description | The development objective of the Skills Development for Employment Project for Djibouti is to improve employability and employment outcomes of technical and vocational education and training graduates with a focus on women, persons with disabilities and refugees in priority economic sectors. The project consists of two components. The first component, direct training will support the immediate training needs in the country. It consists of following sub-components: (i) improving employability and employment outcomes through work-based programs; (ii) online acquisition of skills and jobs through scholarships reimbursement and incentive payments; and (iii) developing labor mobility options for Djibouti. The second component, improving technical and vocational education training (TVET) sectoral and institutional governance, architecture and service delivery mechanisms and program management strengthens the existing skills development architecture in Djibouti. It consists of following sub-components: (i) modernizing education and skills governance; (ii) strengthening program quality and relevance; and (iii) project capacity building, management, monitoring and evaluation. |
