DAFilms is a well-established European VOD platform offering a wide range of more than 4000 documentary films to a stable and diverse base of viewers across the world. Its sustainability throughout the years lies in the combination of an international platform available worldwide with a strong footing in the CEE region through its national platforms (CZ, SK, PL). This application presents the plan of DAFilms to enhance the accessibility and visibility of its catalogue consisting of 75% European production by adapting to the current standards of the VOD industry. The specific goals aiming to do that are following: To match the current trends in VOD consumption and to improve the discoverability of European content for a specific target group, DAFilms will launch its own TV Application. To make a more systematic assessment of our audiences and their behaviours so that we are able to make our promotion more customised and flexible, DAFilms will innovate its marketing strategies through developing an automated and user-friendly data analysis framework. Based on knowledge of the market and our audiences, DAFilms will implement websites in localised German and Spanish language versions together with tailor-made programming to cater for the needs of these specific language groups. DAFilms will continue in its distinct curatorial approach based on the close cooperation with the 7 Doc Alliance festivals and other institutions, while also employing structured branding strategies in order to enhance the attractiveness of the platform and the cross-border discoverability of European cinema. These interconnected goals will be implemented while continuing our overarching mission to be a platform for European documentary, hybrid and experimental cinema of past, present and future, to connect the film professionals with the audiences through our DAFilms Live Conversations platform for discussions and masterclasses, and to make cinema accessible to the youngest generation th
