 Dodla Dairy Limited (“Dodla” or the “company” - https://www.dodladairy.com ), incorporated in 1995 is involved in production, distribution and marketing of milk and milk products, comprising fresh milk, butter, clarified butter, paneer (cottage cheese), curd, flavoured milk, milk based sweets, and skim milk powder. The company sources milk from more than 192,626 farmers across ~7,356 villages in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka located in Southern India, as of December, 2018. The company established its first milk processing facility in Nellore in 1997 and has 11 processing facilities (Nellore, Hyderabad, Palamaner, Indragi, Dharmapuri, Penumur, Kurnool, Badvel, Sattenanapalli, Tumkur and Tanuku) and is in the process of establishing one new processing facility at Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh. Pursuant to a business transfer agreement dated February 8, 2019, the Company is in the process of acquiring two processing plants at Vedasandur and Batlagundu respectively, in Tamil Nadu. The raw milk is collected at the collection centres set-up by the company and sent to 81 chilling centres owned by the company and further transported to the processing facilities. The company also has a dairy farm located at Pulivendula in Kadappa District, Andhra Pradesh for developing and operating a project to provide facilities and services related to livestock research and related products.  IFC is considering an A Loan of approximately USD 15 million to strengthen the company’s current operations and to help the company expand in new geographies.
