Galata Wind Enerji was planning the development of the 93 MW Sah wind farm, near Bandirma, Balikesir province. The project was designed to comprise 31 turbines of 3 MW, producing an annual 333 GWh. Galata Wind Enerji was acquired by Turkish construction group Agaoglu in October 2009. The project was commissioned in August 2011. Equipment was supplied by Vestas under a supply contract signed in April 2010. Construction started in September 2010. Galata Wind Enerji was also developing the 30 MW Edincik and 80 MW Tatlipinar wind farms, Balkesir region. As of October 2011, no further details about permits were available. Total expected costs were $147 million. As of October 2011, no further details about the financial structure of the project were available. In July 2012, the project was acquired by Dogan Enerji Yatirimlari, subsidiary of Dogan Holding (IST: DOHOL). Total price was EUR 171.4 million (US$ 222.8 million).
