Description | The Italian company Enel Green Power announced the development the Dominica I wind power plant in the municipality of Charcas (San Luis Potosi), Mexico (100 MW in capacity). The project is supported by two long-term agreements to supply energy to two large companies, or PPAs, for a total value of around US$ 485 million. The sponsor created the special purpose company Dominica Energía Limpia to manage the project. Investment was estimated at US$ 196 million, fully equity-financed. Construction began in December 2013, and operations were expected for the second half of 2014. In March 2012, the sponsor applied for carbon credits. Operations commmenced in December 2014. |
