Description

Description	The development objective of the Emissions Reduction Program Project for Dominican Republic is to make payments to the program entity for measured, reported and verified Emissions Reductions (ERs) from reduced deforestation, forest degradation and the enhancement of forest carbon stocks (REDD+) at the national level in the Dominican Republic and to distribute ER payments in accordance with an agreed benefit sharing plan. This project has two components. 1) The first component, Payment for Measured, Reported, and Verified ERs, seeks to support the measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) of ERs, and subsequent payment for the ERs; and 2) The second component, Distribution of ER payments according to the Benefit Sharing Plan, aims to distribute the payments from verified ERs among participants of the ER Program according to an agreed Benefit Sharing Plan (BSP).
