Trung Nam Hydropower JSC was planning the development of the 74 MW Dong Nai 2 hydropower plant on the Dong Nai river, Di Linh district, Lam Dong province. The project was expected for commissioning in late-2012. It was planned to produce 290 million kWh annually. Total cost was estimated at VND 2.5 trillion ($120 million). Part of the financing was arranged via a sale of emissions discharged to Deutsche Bank during the first 10 years of operation, valued at $2.1 million annually (announced October 2011). Financial close was announced in September 2009 with the Vietnam Development Bank, the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) and Vietnam-Russia Joint Venture Bank (VRB), for VND 1.366 trillion ($65.5 million).
