Information National Mineral Development Corporation Limited [NMDC] has come up with Donimalai Project for regularisation of Outide Infrastrecture Area with a ticket size of 295.78 INR Crores. This project in Mine sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project Donimalai Iron Ore Mine of NMDC Ltd. M.L.No.2396, commenced its mining operations in 1977 before the enactment of FC Act 1980. To support the beneficiation and processing of iron ore extracted from the mine, various ancillary infrastructures covering an area of 96.868 hectares were established outside the mining lease. These infrastructures are interlocked with forest patches of 138.778 Ha. Stage-1 Forest Clearance was obtained from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on 21.11.2023 for 96.868 Ha, instead of 235.648 Ha excluding the interlocked area between the infrastructure patches.
