The pipeline would connect to an existing pipeline at Beluga in Cook Inlet, supplying gas purchased on the open market directly to the mine. The project also includes mine facilities, camp, airstrip, a 30-mile road to a new port on the Kuskokwim River for transport of cargo and fuel, and a mile-wide pit for gold extraction over a 27-year operating life. |
