Description | Planning is underway for an upgrade of Donnybrook Road between Mickleham Road, Mickleham and Epping Road, Woodstock. The project aims to reduce travel times, improve safety, and cater for population growth and increased vehicle movements. Options being explored include adding more road lanes, upgrading intersections, upgrading the Hume Freeway Interchange, removing the Donnybrook Road level crossing, and building cycling and walking paths to improve connectivity. Planning work includes traffic modelling, engineering designs, ease of construction assessments, economic modelling, and environmental investigations. The planning phase will inform government decisions on funding for future upgrades along Donnybrook Road, with initial planning work expected to be complete in late 2025. |
