Description | The Doornhoek PV Project is a 120 MW photovoltaic power plant near Klerksdorp in South Africa. It covers about 200 hectares and uses 19 central inverter skids supplied and commissioned by Sineng Electric. The project is part of South Africa's Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme Round 6 and has achieved full-capacity grid connection. It is expected to generate over 325 GWh annually, supply electricity to about 97,000 households, and offset an estimated 330,000 tonnes of CO2 each year. |
