Description | Information IRCON MP has come up with Doubling of Katni - Singrauli Railway Line [261 km] with a ticket size of 3417.9 INR Crores. This project in Railway Track sub-sector involves The current status of the project is - and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The doubling of 261 km long Katni Singarauli line is an important project in the state of Madhya Pradesh covering the districts of Katni, Shahdol, Sidhi and Singrauli and the Sanjay Dubri National Tiger Reserve [27 Km]. The section intersects Allahabad Mumbai double line route at Katni and connects with Bina Bilaspur double line electrified route via Saugor, Anuppur [located about 90 km north of Jabalpur] Katni Singrauli is a critical section with growing inward and outward traffic between the Northern Coal Fields [Singrauli Mines] and thermal power plants around the region. The addition of this double line would provide the necessary line capacity for introduction of additional mail express and passenger trains to serve the people of the area and transportation of coal from collieries. The project was sanctioned in the year 2015 2016 at the cost of INR 1762.93 crore. It shall have 284 minor bridges, 36 major bridges, 51 RUB/LHS, 3 ROB etc. Total length commissioned is 180.46 1 km.
