This project in Railway Track sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The project is the doubling of Kiul-Gaya railway line. It passes through Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Nawadah and Gaya districts of Bihar. Kiul is a junction station connecting Sahibganj loop to Howrah-Delhi main line. Gaya is also a junction station connecting Patna-Gaya line to Grand Chord with Kiul-Gaya line taking off from adjoining Manipur station on Grand Chord. At present traffic utilization of the section is 113percentage. The project will serve the freight traffic for super thermal power plant at Barh. |
