Information East Central Railway [ECR] - II has come up with DOUBLING OF RAMNA-SINGRAULI RAIL LINE- 160 KM with a ticket size of 3682.81 INR Crores. This project in Railway Track sub-sector involves The current status of the project is - and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project Brief- The project i.e. Ramna-Singrauli section falls in Dhanbad Division of East Central Railway. The project will facilitate faster transportation of minerals from the project area to other parts of India. At present traffic utilization of the section is 105percentage, resulting in detention of trains and loss of revenue. The project will serve the freight and passenger traffic needs in the jurisdiction of Northern Coal Fields and series of power plants and associated small scale industries in and around Anpara and Shaktinagar, viz. Anpara Super Thermal Power Plant, Rihand Super Thermal Power Plant, Renusagar Hydro Power Plant, Singrauli Super Thermal Power Plant, Vidhyachal Super Thermal Power Plant.
