Dowagiac AI Data Center Expansion

planned

Hyperscale Data, Inc., a Las Vegas-based company, plans to greatly expand an artificial intelligence data center in Dowagiac, Michigan. The expansion aims to scale up the data center to eventually require about 340 megawatts of electricity, equivalent to the power usage of 200,000 to 300,000 homes. The company announced intentions to purchase additional property to expand its Michigan footprint but has not submitted specific plans or permit requests to the city. The city mayor has demanded clarity and transparency on the expansion plans and expects plan submissions within 45 days for regulatory compliance review.
