Downtown Eagle Mobility Improvements Project

The Downtown Eagle Mobility Improvements Project was a multi-year effort by the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) and the City of Eagle to enhance safety, improve traffic flow, and create a more welcoming environment in downtown Eagle. The project focused on Eagle Road, State Street, and surrounding roadways including Olde Park Place, Plaza Drive, and Aikens Street. It was completed in two phases to minimize impacts on businesses and residents while maintaining access to the downtown core. The first phase began in January 2024, with improvements to Eagle Road and Plaza Drive, and a new traffic signal at State Street and 2nd Street. The second phase started in January 2025, continuing enhancements to Aikens Street, Olde Park Place, and State Street. The completed improvements aim to create a safer, more efficient, and walkable downtown, supporting local commerce and preparing Eagle for continued growth, enhancing access for vehicles, pedestrians, and bicyclists, and strengthening connections to nearby neighborhoods, schools, and community destinations.
