Downtown Milwaukee Post Office Redevelopment

R2 Cos. is planning to redevelop the downtown Milwaukee post office complex. The 1.1-million-sq-ft building, erected in 1968, sits on a nine-acre site at 341 W. St. Paul Ave. along the Menomonee River. The planned mixed-use complex would feature 980,000 sq ft of office space in both converted space and a new office tower on the building’s west end. A 282,000-sq-ft residential tower would abut the east end. The project will also include a 13,000-sq-ft extension of the river walk and a pedestrian bridge over the river, connecting to the Harley-Davidson Museum.
