Drainage Improvements

This multi-location project proposes to provide drainage improvements at the following locations.1. CR4 (Commack Road) and CR67 (Vanderbilt Motor Parkway) in the Towns of Huntington and Smithtown, Suffolk County. Rehabilitate the existing recharge basin at the northeast corner of the intersection and construct a new recharge basin at the northwest corner of the intersection to only handle overflow from the northeast corner recharge basin.2. Sunken Meadow State Parkway south of New Highway in the Towns of Huntington and Smithtown, Suffolk County. The work includes: Rebuild side slope of the Town of Smithtown's recharge basin located west of Sunken Meadow State Parkway (908K) at the southeast corner of Delaware Avenue/Orange Avenue. Install pipe to carry water from the street level to the bottom of the Town's recharge basin. Rehabilitate State recharge basin located east of Sunken Meadow State Parkway (908K). Clean/replace leaching basins and drainage system along Sunken Meadow State Parkway (908K) between Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) power line and 1000 feet north of New Highway.
